Graphic Designer
Hi! My name is Madison Shaw and I am a Newberry College graduate. I graduated magna cum laude in May 2020. I have a BA in graphic design with a minor in art.
I became interested in graphic arts at a young age. I started playing video games and drawing at the age of three. After getting interested in photography in 2013, I began working with graphic design my sophomore year in high school. I pursued photography classes, video game design, image editing, and more at the Newberry County Career Center. After graduating in 2016, I started at Newberry College to pursue a degree in Graphic Design with a minor in Art. Throughout my years at Newberry College, I learned graphic design, web design, logo design, pattern design, and much more. In January 2020, I started an internship with Armfield’s Printing Inc. in Whitmire, South Carolina. During this 15-week internship, I expanded my knowledge of Graphic Design in the printing industry. Working with Armfield’s Printing I have been working in programs such as Adobe Office as well as Corel Draw. Aside from Graphic Design, I own a small business, From The Ashes Design, where I have worked with schools, engaged couples, seniors, athletes, and other clients. I also enjoy working with ceramics and art.

Where Am I Now?
I am currently an Ophthalmic Technician at Newberry Eyecare Center. I moved to Newberry in October 2021 with my husband, Dustin. I am still doing freelance graphic design in my spare time as I search for where to continue my design career. I am open to work and can be contacted through my contact page or through LinkedIn.
